The snickrz.com website has been forced down by the proper chocolate bar with all the vowels in it. Poke have put this up on the website to apologise to those still looking for some branding fun. Bit of a dig, don’t you think?!

If you do want to find out why, then go here, apparently there’s a lawsuit on the cards!

Found this awesome music video for a band called the Raveonettes. Five bands were commissioned to write five songs based on five different colours: The Sound of Colour. The Raveonettes produced Black and White, and the video is directed by the award-winning designer Chris Do.

The result of this collaboration is a hauntingly beautiful sequence of black and white illustrations. Watch and be enthralled.

Now I don’t normally like repeating things I have found on other blogs, but this is just sooo cool it needed mentioning. The fine people at Work Club are whom I am ripping off, but as I freely admit it, I’m sure I won’t go to blog hell!

They have discovered a website, by Bacolicio.us , that lets you fry some tasty looking bacon in front of any web page of your choosing. A bit like this http://bacolicio.us/http://watsonthinks.wordpress.com/. Makes me want bacon NOW!

(This is the example they give on their website which made me giggle http://bacolicio.us/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegetarianism)

…deadlines are horrid.

Not posted anything recently as had a deadline on Friday for our first ever work that goes toward our degree. Scary. Got most things finished on time, but no sleep was the result! But still, all over now except for the famous Bucks Christmas Panto, performed by the crazy advertising kids. Although sometimes it can be quite hard to keep the craziness up to a suitably crazy level, but we try.

This is some work I did for a brief set by Create Not Hate which is an initiative set up by Quietstorm to get young people involved in creative outlets and off the streets. The brief was to target creatives, to get them involved and persuade them to give up their time. And to do this, they need to look beyond the stereotype.

…the fall is amazing.

Everyone should watch The Fall directed by Tarsem Singh. It’s just a fantastical feast for the eyes and the mind! Apparently shot without using CGI, it’s just a masterpiece where the lines between reality and fiction start to blur. A bit gruesome in places, but in a mythical way, so a bit more acceptable. Some absolutely amazing camera work, and truly beautiful patterns and colours, make it an extravagant visual orgy that everyone should get involved in!

Watch the trailer.

I came across this story in the news and just thought it needed a mention. A juror was dismissed from her position after posting a poll on facebook as she couldn’t decide whether the defendant was guilty or not. Apparently she wrote on her website “I don’t know which way to go, so I’m holding a poll.” Thank you BrandRepublic for bringing these silly people to our attention!
